Third Annual Tree-A-Thon


What is a Tree-A Thon?
It’s like a walk-a-thon except instead of walking, volunteers get friends, family, and co-workers to support them by donating money to help the Foundation’s tree planting restoration project. Funds that are raised in the Annual Tree-A-Thon support the Foundation’s mission and its Restoration, Conservation Science, and Education programs.

How do I raise money?
We make it easy by setting you up with a First Giving Page. This is your own personal web-based fundraising page. You simply send a link to the page to your family and friends and ask them if they are interested in supporting your tree-planting efforts. If they want to, they simply make a donation on the page with a credit card.  Or, we will supply you with simple forms if you prefer the old fashioned way! How Can I Help?

  • Sign up today to be a volunteer fundraiser and tree planter! Use the easy sign-up form below.
  • If you are willing to fundraise but can’t do the physical work of tree planting, no problem! We have volunteers that will plant the trees for you, and you can help the day of the event in other ways (pizza party set up, etc.).
  • Get your company to be a business partner—please see our business sponsporship page for more info.
  • Donate to the Tree-A-Thon by sponsoring an individual fundraiser or the event in general.


    • What happens the day of the event?
    On January 21, 2012 we’ll spend about four hours actually planting hundreds of native trees and shrubs along the Laguna in Sebastopol. Then we will go have a pizza party and present awards to top fundraisers!

    Are there prizes?
    Absolutely! We have award packages for top fundraisers plus a Laguna Foundation logo ball cap for all fundraisers generating more than $100!

    Who can participate?
    Families, individuals, and businesses can all participate.
